Cars travel through flooded roads in Thai city

Hundreds of drivers battled through flooded roads as heavy rain swamped roads in Pattaya, eastern Thailand, today (April 2). <br /><br />The deluge caused flash floods on the city’s highway and other smaller streets just after lunchtime. <br /><br />Motorists had to struggle through 30cm deep water which took up to three hours to subside. <br /><br />The tropical storm arrived after days of scorching hot weather with temperatures reaching almost 40C in some regions of the country.
